Roy, using Blazer
Blazer is Roy's Up B move, extremely similar in function to Marth's Dolphin Slash attack. Roy soars upwards with his flaming sword which has the ability to emblaze enemies. This move can be aimed by quickly pushing the joystick in a direction after the initial Up B, making Roy move anywhere from directly upward to a 45 degree diagonal on either side, at the expense of some vertical distance. The move is known as a surprisingly easy and effective way of killing enemies in the Cruel Melee. It lacks the ability to do spectacular things in the mode, but is capable of killing several quickly, even in the hands of a novice.
