Battle of the Dark Sides is the 7th Co-op Event Match in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Player 1 controls Link, while Player 2 controls Samus. This is the same as the solo event Dark Link Duel only now Samus is on Link's team and Dark Samus is on Dark Link's team. Each player has 200HP stamina. You win by dropping both the CPU's stamina to 0HP.

Stay far away. Samus and Link both have quite a few projectiles. Use them for an advantage. Try using your ranged grab on this walk-off blast line stage. You can also tag team one of the dark enemies to quickly drop their stamina. Just make sure to be careful with the left-out opponent.

- This event alludes to Dark Link, whom is a boss/mini-boss in the Legend of Zelda, and Dark Samus, whom is the antagonist in the Metroid Prime series.
