Cyphus is the cajun smasher known for his Dr. Mario. He is not soley responsible for spreading the smash scene across Louisiana, but continues to represent LA as one of its top players.
At his first large tournament, FC3, he became popular from his human-contortioning and sought Bob$ as his first guide into mastering Dr. Mario. He has since developed a name for himself as a Dr. Mario player, made impressive tournament placings, and gained a reputation as being an experienced, knowledgable source for others. Cyphus can also be scheming and self-absorbed. And often hides his true intentions.
As a pseudo Dr. Mario-purist, it is rare he uses anyone else in a tournament, but against bleak situations he is known to use Ice Climbers, and misc. others - something he prefers, thinking of it as 'preserving his Doc for the next round.'

Cyphus is majoring in Psychology. He enjoys mixed martial arts, working out, and creating his own personal game achievements such as several for Ocarina of Time. Thanks to his physical flexibility, he met with magician, David Blaine, with promises to travel and perform. Afterward for reasons never given, Blaine avoided all attempts Cyphus made to communicate until their rendezvous passed- leaving Cyphus confused and bitter.
