Down Under Jump

From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki

The Down Under Jump is a feat similar to the Hyrule Jump. The down under jump is on Hyrule Temple stage, more specifically the bottom landmass (often referred to as the Fight Club). To perform the down under jump, one must successfully maneuver their character from the left side of the large bottom landmass to the small platform on the bottom right of the stage (landing point of Hyrule Jump). The player must go UNDERNEATH the landmass. This feat requires precise timing to perform correctly.

[edit] Possible Characters

Only a handful of Melee characters can successfully make this jump. As of right now, only the Ice Climbers (jumps and Belay), Jigglypuff (jumping, punching, and air dodging), Pichu (jumps, skull bash, and quick attack), Pikachu (jumps, skull bash, and quick attack) and Mewtwo (jumps and Teleport/using jumps, teleport, and shadow ball). Mewtwo can perform the feat in two ways.

[edit] Reverse Down Under Jump

The reverse down under jump is a difficult task (jumping from bottom platform to left side of bottom landmass/essentially the opposite of the down under jump), and can only be performed by one character, Mewtwo (shadow ball, jump, back aerial, and teleport OR jumps, back aerial, and teleport).

[edit] Performing the Reverse Down Under Jump

This strategy was created by Jlen: 1. Charge a Shadow Ball and stand facing right on the little platform at the bottom of the level.
2. Jump and push against the wall.
3. When you reach the halfway point of the landmass (as landmass moves inward) use the shadow ball and it should propel you around the tip.
4. Immediately use your second jump, then use the back aerial to gain some extra height.
5. Use Teleport to just grab the edge.
