[edit] Crew History
Famous Last Words (FLW) was founded by the three brothers and was never primarily focused on being a top competitive crew for Melee, instead focused on running tournaments and teaching new players the game. They hosted four local tournaments in the Washington DC area, in Clinton, MD which had actual prizes for the top finishers instead of handing out cash to the winners. This was primarily because their tournaments were hosted in a church, but also because their events were designed to focus on fun.
The most notable member of FLW is M3D, who went on to become Major League Gaming's tournament director and senior staff writer.
After many years of inactivity, the crew began to fully reform with the advent of Super Smash Brothers Brawl. The three founding brothers were all actively involved with the competitive website Wifi Wars. M3D as founder and administrator, Jump20X6 as a staff writer, and B-Run as a forum moderator. Xanthius imported a Japanese Wii and copy of Brawl in order to gain an edge in competition, playing with B-Run and Jump on the weekends. Dastrn became a popular tournament organizer in Indiana, before recently moving to Arizona.
[edit] Trivia
- The crew name was formulated from an inside joke between the three brothers. In FFA matches Jump20X6 would often try to use the Falcon Punch to surprise his brothers. This usually spelled certain death for either Falcon or whomever the punch came into contact with. Jump set his first Smashboards signature as "Famous Last Words: 'Falcon Pu~!'" From there the crew name was born.
