[edit] Guru as a whole
Guru is a smasher from New Jersey. He is a Zelda, Shiek, Jigglypuff and Mario user, though he'll sometimes play as Peach. He is a semi-pro with his mains but can use anyone else. He seems to do worse in tournaments (even in friendlies). He is the new partner of KoRoBeNiKi. They haven't teamed in a tournament yet so KoRoBeNiKi doesn't know how he'll do with a new partner. Their team name is Marth and Fox making fun of how they use Samus/Luigi and Zelda (High/Low and Low Tier) instead of Marth and Fox (High and Top Tier).
Gale has used other names before such as Ark (without writing it in) but normally used to not use a name. Other names included Nameless but someone already took it. His excuse was that it gave away Sheik's/Zelda's recovery.
[edit] Rise from Noob to Semi-Pro
Originally, when KoRoBeNiKi and MattNF were in New Jersey, MattNF was friends with Gale. He then met KoRoBeNiKi and they all realized they all liked smash. Guru originally used a throw spamming noobish Doctor Mario and he couldn't wavedash, Shorthop or L-Cancel. He then started using other characters and went from losing almost every round to being tied in skill with KoRoBeNiKi. He still doesn't wavedash but L-Cancells and short-hops. He has good enough mindgames to compete with semi-pro's. Currently he wants to become good as link. His favorite smasher is Aniki.

In Brawl, GURU plays as Metaknight, Zelda, and Toon Link as mains but he uses every character in some way well. He STILL doesn't use a tag. He is a John though :-). He plays online with MNF and KoRoBeNiKi all the time.
