Gorn is a smasher from Chalons-en-Champagne, France who mains Marth and Fox.

Gorn started playing SSBM when the game was released. He was a SSB player. He discovered advanced techniques in May 2003, and started playing Single Player Mode with his crewmates at a quite high level in late 2003. But although he wasn't bad, he never did particularly good scores. The same thing happened when he shifted to Versus Mode : he was able to use advanced techniques, but never managed to improve quickly, even though he plays quite often with Poilon, one af the best French players. He recently started playing Fox, and it helped him improve his whole Smash skill-level.
Despite his average level, Gorn is considered as one of the most important players in the French Smash Community : first, his friendly and easy-going nature gave him a good reputation, and in a way he became the mascot for the French Smashers, especially as MasterGorn. And also, Gorn is the webmaster of the biggest French website dealing with SSBM.

Gorn didn't attend many tournaments, altough he has an important role in the French Smash scene. He attends about a big tournament per year, and also a few smaller ones. This lack of tournament practice cause him to screw up in tournaments since he's not used to stress.

MasterGorn is a legend known by many French Smashers that rose around Gorn. It appeared when Gorn created his website : many noob players thought that every single world record video had been done by Gorn, even though he claimed he wasn't obviously able to do it. The rumor of Gorn being an awesome player spread quickly in the noob players forums, so that the pro French players who knew Gorn decided to emphasize it, creating MasterGorn, Gorn's other personnality, who is an awesome smash player but prefers playing at an average level because he's too good. Here is a list of of what MasterGorn is said to do :
- MasterGorn can 4 stock any smasher in the world with any character without taking any damage, and he also beat Ken, Isai and Captain Jack in a team without friendly fire, taking only 15%.
- MasterGorn can play with perfect timing , like in AR movies such as Perfect Control.
- He can play with one finger only, and perform every movement (such as a wavedash) this way.
- Two weeks after the game's release, he had already exceptional 1P Mode records : 1'38" total high score in Target Test, and 86447.6 meters in HRC.
- He created some secret skills, such as MasterGorn Super DI, which allow him to survive to Roy's fully charged neutral B even at 999%, or MasterGorn Gorgeous Powershield, which is doing 69 powershields on the same projectile (as an exemple, a Fox neutral B laser reflected MasterGorn Gorgeous Powershield deals 207%).
- His intense concentration can have effects on the objects around him : during the Royal Destination Tournament, as he was sandbagging against Captain Jack (who can assert the following fact), MasterGorn was hit by a sweetspotted CJ's Marth's F-smash at more than 150%. Thanks to an extremly intense mind focus, he performed a MasterGorn Super DI and managed to survive. But as his Mewtwo came back in the camera range, the effects of MasterGorn's concentration happenened : every single TV in a range of about 100 meters (about 330 feet) shut down. From this day, MasterGorn avoid using techniques that requires too much concentration, to prevent any damage to people or objets around him.
- MasterGorn is able to 5 stock anyone in a 4-stock match : at end of the match, the game is overwhelmed by MasterGorn power and credits him with an additional stock.
MasterGorn's abilities have been witnessed by many top players now claiming his legend, such as Joanna Dark, Doraki, Makenshi, or the dutch smashers Nihonjin and Faab, as well as Captain Jack, and many noob players still believe it.
