Igglybuff

Igglybuff (ププリン, Pupurin in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

[edit] Creature description

Igglybuff is a tiny pink balloon-like creature with red eyes and a tuft of hair. Information culled from the various Pokédex entries tell that it has a very soft and bouncy body that feels very much like a marshmallow, and it moves around by bouncing instead of walking with its short legs. The extremely flexible and elastic body makes it bounce continuously anytime, anywhere, and if it starts to roll, it will bounce all over and be impossible to stop. When it sings continuously with all its might, its body steadily turns a deepening pink color, but has insufficiently developed vocal cords that would hurt its throat if it were to sing to much. So, it gargles with freshwater from a clean stream. From its body wafts a gently sweet frageance that soothes and calms the emotions of its foes.

It is the pre-evolved form of Jigglypuff, and in the Pokémon RPGs it will only evolve into Jigglypuff if it is very happy with its trainer and gains an experience level. In addition, the only way to get an Igglybuff is to breed two Jigglypuffs of the opposite gender or a Jigglypuff of either gender with a Ditto. When you get an egg from the daycare couple, it should hatch into an Igglybuff.

[edit] In Super Smash Bros. Melee

Igglybuff has made only one minor appearance as a trophy, unlocked as one of the 100+ trophies that can be collected randomly during normal play, such as in the Trophy Lottery and throughout the various Single-player Regular Matches.

The Igglybuff Trophy

[edit] Trophy Description

Igglybuff, which evolve into Jigglypuff, are so incredibly elastic that they always seem to be bouncing. They have extremely stubby legs, so for these Pokémon, bounding from place to place is much faster than walking. Unlike its equally adorable relatives, Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff, Igglybuff has red eyes.
