The Lottery is a slot machine-like minigame in Super Smash Bros. Melee in which players use Coins to try to win a trophy. The more coins that are entered, the better the player's chances of receiving a new trophy, as opposed to one they already have. Up to 20 coins can be inserted at once. Oddly enough, it is possible to use the Lottery after all possible trophies are obtained. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it has since been replaced by the Coin Launcher. The Coin Launcher is different from the lottery in you need to shoot coins, rather than pure chance. In addition, in the Coin Launcher allows you to earn stickers as well.
