Megavitamins

From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki

Megavitamins being used

Megavitamins is Doctor Mario's Standard Special Move. The megavitamins are similar to Mario's fireballs. However, they have a unique bounce arc, fall faster, do more damage, and have distinctive sounds used from the orginal Dr. Mario game. They are also used in Doctor Mario's taunt, in which he tosses a Megavitamin up and catches it. The megavitamin in his taunt does not do any damage.

The megavitamins appear as their own trophy.

[edit] Description

Megavitamins come in six color combinations of red, blue and yellow. Dr. Mario uses these capsules by tossing them into contaminated bottles to destroy viruses. The origin of these wonder pills is a mystery, but the most likely theory is that they're the result of Dr. Mario's lifelong efforts to find a cure for the common cold.

[edit] Brawl

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Megavitamins appear as a sticker.

[edit] Origin

In Dr. Mario games, these were used to eliminate viruses. When you put three of the same color vitamins together with a virus of the same color, you would destroy the vitamins and the virus.

[edit] Trivia

  • When Kirby uses the vitamins, the collision sound is the same as the sound of a Green Shell.
