Metroid II: The Return of Samus
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Metroid II: The Return Of Samus is the second game in the Metroid franchise, the sequel to the original Metroid. It follows the story of Samus exterminating the Metroids off the face of their homeworld, SR-388. It is notable for coming out several years later after the first Metroid game, and for being the first game in the series to be on the Game Boy. It was the only handheld game to debut before Metroid: Zero Mission. There were no characters other than Samus that were repeated in the series, but the Spider Ball from Metroid Prime is based on the Spider Ball in this game, and was a key to completing the greater portion of it. The game was also pivotal to the plotline of Super Metroid, introducing the Metroid which followed Samus and believed she was its mother. It did not have a major influence on the rest of the series.
[edit] In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
There are a few stickers of Samus based off the game, as well as the Chozo Statue. None of the stickers are obtained from Challenges. There are no other collectables, like Trophies or CD's, that are related to Metroid II: The Return of Samus.
[edit] Trivia
Although the Chozo Statue sticker is from Metroid II: The Return of Samus, Lucario, who is from the Pokémon series of games, is the only character who can use the sticker in The Subspace Emissary.
