Moving SHL
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
The moving SHL is a technique that allows Fox/Falco players to actually move while firing short-hopped lasers.
In general, it is common to see players approach and retreat with SHLs by dashing before each short hop (and immediately upon landing). However, this technique allows players to actually move in the air, from a stationary starting position, while lasering.
To perform a moving SHL, the procedure is only slightly different from a regular stationary SHL. The player short hops and taps B. Immediately upon tapping B, however, the player must press left/right on the control stick, depending on which direction they want to drift in the air, and then fast fall.
The biggest drawback to the moving SHL is that there is a tradeoff between horizontal movement and fastfalling, due to having to input more control stick directions than usual. As such, the moving laser is much more effectively used in the forms of weaving (with Fox's SHDL) and Falco's Ledgehopped Double Laser.
