Mudkip is a Pokémon. It cameos as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

[edit] Creature description

A Mudkip is a small, blue quadruped similar to a mudskipper fish. It breathes underwater using the gills on its cheeks and travels by propelling itself with its large tail fin, and it sleeps by burying itself in soil at the water's edge. The fin on its head functions as highly sensitive radar; it senses movements of the air when it is on ground or the water when it is underwater to determine what is taking place around it without using its eyes. For its size, it is very powerful, able to lift large boulders by planting its four feet and heaving, and also able to shatter said boulders, which helps it defend itself in a tight situation in a battle.

In the third generation of Pokemon games and media, Mudkip is the resident Water-type Starter Pokemon. It evolves into Marshtomp, then evolves into Swampert, a Water/Ground type that is very practical in competitive play.

Mudkip:
A Mud Fish Pokemon. It has fins on its head and tail. The fin on its head acts like a radar dish to read its surroundings, and its tail fin increases its swimming speed. The gills on its cheeks allow it to move about in water. It's very strong for its size--it can even lift big boulders. It burrows into muddy watersides to sleep. Mudkip evolves into Marshtomp.
