Punch-Out!!

From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki

The original box art

Punch-Out!! is the name of an NES boxing game, that used to be called "Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!", but was changed due to legal issues. The game had a sequel for the SNES and recently a second one for the Wii, where Little Mac returns. In the game, the player controls Little Mac, a very small boxer who is trying to become the Boxing Champion. In the game, he needs to use different techniques to fight all the different opponents. After hitting an opponent in a rather complex or difficult way, Little Mac would be able to use a powerful Uppercut. Little Mac or his opponent's would fall down if their health bar became empty, which they would have to rapidly tap buttons to recover while Mario, the referee, would count down. However, they would automatically lose if their health bar reaches empty three times.

If Little Mac would lose, he would have to fight the most recently fought fighter again. If he loses to the very first fighter of the championship, he would receive a Game Over. After each championship, the player would be given a password, and watch a short cutscene of Little Mac training in a pink exercise outfit. At the end of the game, Little Mac would fight Mike Tyson (in Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!), or Mr. Dream. These fighters were notable for being very difficult to win against, as merely a few punches would knock Little Mac out.

[edit] In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Little Mac (the main character of the game), appears as an Assist Trophy and a collectible Trophy.
