Slowpoke
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Slowpoke (ヤドン, Yadon in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.
[edit] Creature Description
Slowpoke is a moderately large pink bear or hippopotamus-like creature with a permanently vacant expression. As the Pokédex explains, it is an incredibly dopey, slow, and sluggish specie that makes little difference whether it is awake or asleep. It is always vacantly lost in thought, but no one knows what it is thinking about. It is quite content to loll about without worrying about the time. Its main hobby is to dip its tail into water to fish for prey, but it often forgets what it's doing and often spends entire days just loafing at the water's edge. Its tail leaks a sweet sap that is not nutritious but tastes good, which compels aquatic prey to clamp on its tail, but it won't even notice or react to its catch for a whole day because it does not feel pain if its tail is bitten. If it is attacked outright anywhere else, it takes 5 seconds for the pain to register.
If a Shellder bites onto its tail, it will evolve into the larger Slowbro, which changes the shape of both the Slowpoke and Shellder involved.
[edit] In Super Smash Bros. Melee
Slowpoke makes one minor appearance in this game.
[edit] As a stage element
A giant balloon of Slowpoke (in actuality the 3D model of Slowpoke used in Pokémon Stadium for Nintendo 64) is one of the many floating and bending "platforms" that comprise the Poké Floats stage.
