In order to create the most useful and beneficial encyclopedia of Super Smash Bros. information possible, the following goals should be kept in mind at all times in defining policy and content of SmashWiki:

• SmashWiki should remain a current, accurate, and useful resource to those who wish to use it.
• Articles should be written to be accessible to all audiences of all different skill levels, unless the nature of such articles precludes that this be reasonable.
• Visitors not seeking to use SmashWiki as a source of technical information should not be hindered from accessing the information they seek through oversaturation. Such content should be included in such a way as to promote the use of SmashWiki for all audiences.

These goals should be held in high regard as important guidelines that set the course for more specific policies and practices on SmashWiki. Please ensure that these goals are being upheld in your use of SmashWiki.
