From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Smash Trapping is a technique where a player uses multiple uncharged smash attacks quickly and repeatedly, thus trapping an opponent. After damage is sufficient, the player uses a powerful attack for a KO. The best strategy is using forward smashes to push the opponent towards the edge, then use a finishing blow. This technique is very hard to pull off on any experience player, and is very ineffective.
This can best be used as Wolf (Fox) in SSBB, and Fox & Falco in SSBM.
