Echoist, or "Echo" as people prefer to call him, is a swedish smasher who is known for maining non-top/high characters only, also known for being one of the best Cruel Melee players in the world. However, he left the 1p mode section/community a long time ago. Although he still holds the world record for Ganondorf, which is 2222 KOs.

The reason Echo started to play cruel melee was because he got inspired by watching videos that other 1p mode professionals had put on youtube as well as their websites. That way he began to achieve great amount of KOs with all characters. Echo shorty joined several scoreboards, submitted his records and became famous in the 1p mode community.

When Echo met Hack and Zampa (best target test playing in the world) at the end of year 2006, he started playing VS instead and has entered several tournaments since then. He desided to main characters who are fun to play with (however can be pretty annoying to be faced against) such as Luigi, Ganondorf and Bowser. Normally these characters are not "tournament material" but Echo proved that he had a lot of potential and has placed well in tournaments. He later became the best Luigi, Ganondorf and Bowser player in Sweden.

His Luigi is mostly known for beating top/hight tier characters like Fox, Falco and Sheik. Echo used Luigi's recovery to the fullest (including the tornado) which made it hard to get him of stage. Since Ganondorf is bad against faster characters, Echo used him as a counter against Marth and Peach. Using great spacing and performing lots of stomps showed that Ganondorf had potential in tournaments. Bowser was Echo's main in low tiers. That's pretty much it.

Echo is not that kind of person who plays for money. Only for fun. He also never stayes awake a whole day at tournaments. He thinks sleep is very important.

Nowdays Echo only playes smash at rare cases. He has aslo retiered as a Luigi player.
