KSO (also known as KSO [CoV] or Kso4351) is a well-known smasher among the east coast and Midwest smash community. He picked up Super Smash Bros. in April 2005 when he first purchased a Nintendo 64. Before that, he only had minor exposure to the game through his friends. Currently training on Super Smash Bros. Melee with CunningKitsune, KSO hopes to improve his SSBM game to be on par with his SSB64 game.
[edit] Biography
His first introduction to the competitive scene of SSB64 was thanks to Wonsang, a retired Fox player as of June 2007. For over a year, KSO and Wonsang started playing SSB64 together competitively, and KSO started practicing the game with a purpose, first maining Captain Falcon. He was then admitted into Wonsang's crew, The Culture of Vulture (CoV), and first demonstrated his well-earned skill in a combo video released in November 2006.
Shortly after the release of his first combo video, KSO switched his main character to Fox after increasing his experience to the game through CoV. Later, he met valoem (a Pikachu main) and m3gav01t (a Captain Falcon main), two well-known and respected professional SSB64 players. Learning much more about the game from them, he proceeded to make another combo video (featuring Fox), using footage from a CoV smashfest in December 2006.
In April 2007, KSO and m3gav01t played smash together many times, improving KSO's game as well as m3gav01t's. During this time, KSO realized his potential in professional Captain Falcon play and switched main characters back to Captain Falcon. From the footage taken out of his matches with m3gav01t, he created his second combo video featuring Captain Falcon in May 2007.
After training his Captain Falcon even further, KSO recorded many original training mode combos as well as match clips and put them together for his most recent combo video "ENTER 7H3 FALCON". The link can be found below.
Since Wonsang and most of the remainder of the crew has retired, KSO has been given leadership responsibility of CoV and has recently admitted a few skilled players into the group.
