[edit] Controversy
Because of her girly personality, many people believe Princess Peachie is a man or boy pretending to be a girl to gain attention. However there is proof that she is indeed a girl on her various accounts online (such as DeviantArt and YouTube). Her comment on the matter is "I don't really mind. If people are still closed-minded on gaming forums then that's their problem, but it won't stop me enjoying talking about my favourite game and being myself."
[edit] Princess Peachie vs Minjo Master
Princess Peachie was challenged for a battle against a smasher named Minjo Master. Minjo was so eager to defeat Princess Peachie and "her annoying emoticons" that he built an army of GameFAQs members against her. When the battle finally took place on July 8th 2008, Minjo won and went on to win against Princess Peachie 3 more times. Princess Peachie claims the terrible lag was hard to cope with, and hopes Minjo realizes that she isn't usually that bad at playing. All 4 battles can be seen on YouTube.
[edit] Trivia
- Princess Peachie's username was created while registering to GameFAQs. The username "Princess Peach" was already taken, so she named herself Princess Peachie. She said it sounded cuter anyway.
- While playing Brawl online against friends, Princess Peachie mainly uses the nickname "Pichi", based on the Japanese wording for Princess Peach's name (Pīchi-hime).
- At one point, there was a member on GameFAQs named "Prince Peachie", who claimed that one day he would marry Princess Peachie. He frequently made comments of undying love to her, which she politely brushed away.
