Super Paper Mario
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Super Paper Mario is a game for the Wii starring Mario. It is an RPG/Platformer that succeeds both Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
[edit] Storyline
Peach is kidnapped by Count Bleck, who wishes to fulfill the prophecy of the Dark Prognosticus by having her marry Bowser. Peach does not want to say her vows, but a hypnotic trance makes her do so. This causes the Chaos Void to be created. At the last minute, Luigi tries to save Peach, but he fails.
Mario is then informed of Peach's capture later on, and he sets out to Bowser's Castle, believing him to be the culprit. However, just before their conflict, Count Bleck appears and creates a dimensional rift, which sucks in Bowser and his minions. Mario gets knocked out while trying to stop Bleck from doing this. When he awakes, Tippi, a Butterfly-like Pixl, tells Mario of what happened and assures him that she is his ally. She then takes him to Flipside, a land between the dimensions, where Mario meets Merlon, Flipside's resident wizard. Merlon informs him of the fate of all dimensions, described in the Light and Dark Prognosticuses. Merlon tells him that he can prevent the dimensions' destruction by finding the eight Pure Hearts, which will counter Bleck's Chaos Heart and defeat him.
Mario then sets out on a journey to different worlds to collect these Pure Hearts, which will lead the way to Count Bleck's castle, where he can stop the Void from destroying all worlds.
This game is unique in the way that it can be considered "5-D", because Mario is able to switch between a 2-D viewpoint and a 3-D one, with each viewpoint having a drastic effect on the area around him.
