[edit] Accurate updates, and updates in general
Do we have anyone here at Smashwiki going out to NCT2? Can anyone get data on that? Or at least do we have connections? And another thing, am I the only one who finds that the little tournaments should be here to? If we do make the switch and try to gather as much data as we can for the little venues, we run the risk of becoming an advertisement site, which is the last thing I will allow Smashwiki to be, but I'm sure there are a lot more tournaments out there we could fill this with. - We definitely need to keep this page current! I would recommend keeping the "events" to a regional-or-bigger level, so that we don't become too cluttered. Maybe keep track of all the announced events in the coming two months. Of course, that's easy to say. - I'm not totally sure what content belongs here either. I guess that's for us to legislate, since we've had the same problem since 2006. "Current events" isn't in the default skin; I forgot that there are multiple skins now. - Absolutely. I'd imagine we could divide most news into (1) tournaments, (2) SmashWiki events, (3) events in the Smash community at large, such as a tier list or the participation of Ken in Survivor, and (4) Nintendo-related events, such as the release of Brawl. That can be our tentative guideline for what counts as a "current event." And unless this page really kicks into high gear, I'd say any news within the last, oh, three months is fair game to stay on the page. So we just need to find a few items of each kind and put them on this page. I'll throw in news on Ken and the new tier list releases. – MaskedMarth (t c) 02:44, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Couldn't an article like this be used to write any new information about Brawl? We can put in the latest updates in the front page. Or at least make a new article similar to this. Magiciandude 23:39, December 19, 2007 (EST)
