aperson is Tyler Mitchell.

Tyler Mitchell is a member of the class of 2009 at Rice University in Houston, Texas. He is majoring in Mathematics and Philosophy to do research in artificial intelligence. Before SSBM, he was well known in the Quake III Arena trickjumping community as iT.maphive, most well known for their famous trickjumping videos, tricking iT 1 and 2. He is also known for making files in the Stepmania community (though he has retired from this). Currently, he plays Beatmania IIDX, Super Smash Brothers, poker, and Go.

He has been playing SSBM since the spring of 2005. He mains Marth but occasionally plays Samus. One of his goals is to use game theory to design strategies for the SSBM metagame.
