Hi whoever is reading this and welcome to my userpage! My username is Enigmatic Mr. L as you can see, but I prefer to be called either "Mr. L" or "Alex" (my real name). My username came from the enemy in Super Paper Mario. Who is Mr. L anyway? By the way, I am just kidding when I call Mr. L "Enigmatic".

[edit] Things you should know
- Tiers exist like it or not. Although, they really shouldn't matter to you unless you participate in tournaments.
- About Brawl+, I don't own it, but I'm almost certain about two things about it: 1.) Don't knock it untill you try it. I've seen some users who were hesitant to get it/hated it before they tried it, but they liked it after they tried it. 2.) It is not Melee 2.0. I know it may look like that at first, but take this into consideration: Brawl+ is supposed to make the game more competitive. Brawl is the least competitive SSB game. So, making Brawl more competitive (faster overall gameplay, adding techniques like wavedashing, removing tripping, etc.) just happens to make it look more like its preceder. Besides, how would you know Brawl+ is Melee 2.0 if you haven't played the game? Shade once said something along the lines that anyone who has played Brawl+ would tell you it isn't Melee 2.0.
- Smashwiki polocies like assume good faith, deal with vandals quietly, and you are valuable.
- There are no real combos in Brawl because the game's hitstun is too low. See Flinch article near the bottom of the page.
- There are no spikes in Brawl (and there are only a few in Melee), just Meteor smashes.
- Edit warring is highly unproductive. This is a lesson a learned the hard way... twice. Try talking to talking to the user you are having an edit war with. If that doesn't work, take it to a sysop.
- Talk pages are for ways to improve the article (e.g. Can someone find citation for this? or We need help arranging to new format). They are not for general discussion (e.g. Meta Knight ROCKS! or Jigglypuff FAILS!)
- Pros and Cons became attributes for two main reasons: 1.) Some things are hard to say whether they are good or bad (e.g. Fast falling speed makes a character more difficult to juggle, but it also makes them more suspectable to chain grabs). 2.) Some things should be mentioned right next to each other (e.g. Bowser is the heaviest AND largest character in the game. The article shouldn't say "heaviest character" in one section, then say "largest character" much later in another section).
- Luigi rules.

[edit] About Me as a Smasher
I own all three Super Smash Bros. games and enjoy them all. In the original, I used Captain Falcon 99.9% of the time (exaggeration of course). My brother used Fox most of the time, so we almost always battled using the two fastest characters in the game with insane como abilities. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I beat him like 99.9% of the time (once again, an exaggeration). I liked all of the characters in that game except YOU FAIL!. There isn't much to unlock in that game, so I've unlocked everything.
In Melee, I mained Mario and my old friend Captain Falcon. I also kind of liked Falco for some reason and Kirby because I beat event match 51 with him. Once again, I liked every character in the game except YOU FAIL!. I've unlocked just about everything in Melee except a few trophies.
In Brawl, I've nearly completed the game. I'm only missing one trophy (the sticker one) and less that 10 stickers. Other than that, I've completely beaten Brawl (I even got 100% on the SSE and revealed all titles on the chronicle). I used to main Sonic (and by main I mean like Captain Falcon in the orginal: played him 99.9% of the time), but I've started to use other characters. I must say, Brawl is tied with Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for being my absolute favorite video game. Generally, I like to play 3 stock, 8 minute time limit brawls. I set items to off and none, and I usually fight a random level 9 CPU on a random stage. However, when I play with my friends, we play 5-stock matches with items set to medium and every item on. This is because that's how they play and I really don't care that much. PictoChat, WarioWare, Isle Delfino, Spear Pillar, Mario Circuit, and some of my own created stages are my favorite places to Brawl when I don't set the stage to random. As always, I like every character in the game except for YOU FAIL!, who is even worse than it was in the last two games.
[edit] My Opinion on Tiers
From the tier list article, "The general consensus of competitive players is that tiers do exist. They argue that it would be almost impossible to balance a game of unlike characters; without specific redesign, characters would have the tendency to fall into tiers by dint of their myriad variables (differing attack power, running speed, etc.). Furthermore, the developers cannot foresee top-level strategies, and thus even their deliberate efforts could fail to balance the game at a professional level. Years of empirical results support this conclusion as well; national tournament-winners of Melee almost always use Marth, Fox, Falco and Sheik..." I couldn't agree more. In the smash games, there are technques like infinite/0-to-death combos, infinite/0-to-death chaingrabs, infinite/0-to-death grab releases, and some other things that almost guarantee a character will beat another. Thus, some characters are better than others, and some characters are worse than others. Also, how can you call a game balanced, but if the developers buff a character beyond recognition or nerf a character beyond recognition, it's still balanced? Another thing I want to make sure you know is this: I agree with the tier lists the SBR, MBR, etc. makes. Considering I'm not that great of a Brawler, I bet I would get killed if I went to a Brawl tournament of experts even if I used Meta Knight. I'll just trust what the experts say, and if I don't understatnd how a character could be that high/low, then I learn info about that character until their tier position makes sense. I used to have a "tier" list, but since it was just a list of characters who I like/who I'm best with, I removed it because I realized no one cares which characters I'm best with. If you do care about which charactersI like (or if you want to see some almost semi-funny nicknames I gave them), then look at the history of this page.
[edit] Likes and Dislikes (Important)
Most of these have to do with the Smash Bros. series or smashwiki in some way, but one is quite random...
[edit] Likes :D
- Mario series, Super Smash Bros. series (obviously), Sonic series, and Nickelodeon games (in that order).
- My Mains (obviously)
- Being an active contributor here.
- Luigi, Mario, and Sonic (in that order)
- A lot of friendly users here (A list would be too long)
- Final Smashes (EPIC)
- The Smash Arena
- New messages
[edit] Dislikes D:
- Jigglypuff
- Anti-tierists
- People who complain about tiers lists who have no idea what their talking about (e.g. Meta Knight can't be top tier because his final smash sucks.)
- Vandals
- Captain Falcon's huge nerf from SSBM to SSBB (C.F. was my #1 main in the first two games, but now he's near the bottom of the barrel :()
- Rudeness and Sarcasm [This is related to smashwiki because there a lot of users (I won't mention any names) who use this]
- Abuse of rollback powers (I've seen a lot of edits that were most likely in good faith, yet they were rollbacked nonetheless)
- Infinite/0-to-death combos, infinite/0-to-death chaingrabs, and infinite/0-to-death grab releases (this makes the game extremely boring for the person being attacked because they can't do anything)
- Spanish Class (nothing to do with the Smash series or smashwiki, I know)
[edit] Trivia
- My favorite method of KOing is Star KOs.
- In Brawl, I user the regular palette swap for Luigi, the white palette swap for Meta Knight, and the yellow overall palette swap for Wario. I usually play as black Captain Falcon in SSB. When I occasionally use other characters, I generally use their normal palette swap.
- I got rollback powers on July 13th, 2009
- I got Brawl the day it came out because I was so eager to get it.
- I own a Nintendo DS Lite :D!
[edit] Other accounts
Although this account is by far the one I'm most active at, I also have an account at SNN (Sonic News Network) under the name of "Go Mario!" (To annoy people who think Sonic>Mario). Here it is in case you want to see it: http://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/User:Go_Mario!_ I also have an account at the Super Mario Wiki under the name of "White Knight" (Although I'm pretty much retired there). Here's a link to it: http://www.mariowiki.com/User:White_Knight
