In case you haven't realized it by now, I'm also a Halo fan as well as a Smash Bros. fan.

Seriously!

The two are probably the best game lines ever made! Anyway, I joined this site with the intention of improving it in anyway I can, including, but not limited to, page cleanup, character bios, and the removal of spam.

[edit] History with Smash Bros.

I first got Super Smash Bros. from my friend when he was selling his Nintendo 64 for money for a PlayStation 2. The game blew my mind! The sheer chaos and strategy involved in the game was very addicting. When we finally got a PS2, we put the N64 in a closet for it to, unfortunately, gather dust (we still occasionally play it, so its okay). Years later, we got a Gamecube, and I was thrilled to hear that a sequel to Smash Bros. had been released. When we got it, I loved it even more than the original!! The battles got even bigger and more chaotic with the addition of nearly twice as many characters, more items and tricks, the side special move, and, of course, Giga Bowser. There was a bit of debate recently as to whether we sould get a Nintendo Wii or an Xbox 360. Kind of hard, since I saw it as...

"Brawl, or Halo 3?"

In the end, we got the Wii, and I think my brother is still mad that we didn't get the 360. Simply looking at the Brawl videos on YouTube was enough to make me realize, "This... destroys Halo 3.", especially since that I know YouTube destroys video quality and the game STILL looked incredible!

March 9th, 2008.

I sure as hell wish I could camp outside of BestBuy the preceeding week, but I know my parents will never allow it...

Since the original, me and my brother have always mained with the same characters...

Me with Fox.

My bro with Kirby.

[edit] Smash Bros. Battle Style

Gameplay featuring Brawl content (hopefully) coming soon!

In Melee, I mainly fought as Fox or Link. With Fox, I rush up to my target and constantly barrage him with a constant series of attacks, usually starting with Fox Illusion or a Smash attack. I then try to constantly barrage my opponent, not giving him a second to breathe. Of course the opponent will inevitably find openings and attack me. Honestly, fighting in a Smash Bros. game has become second nature to me and is difficult to explain in words. I just do what I know I should.

No mercy.

No pity.

No retreats.

No excuses.

[edit] Current Events

Well, the states has got 2 weeks till she gets Brawl, and I have gotten sick of waiting. Unfortunately for me, I got to go to D.C. for my grandfather's funeral (no sympathy, please), and down to Georga for a competition. And because Brawl will probobly sell out about 4 hours after its released, I probobly wont get Brawl for a while.

Sucks to be me...

In other news, I just finished watching the 10th Pokémon movie, The Rise of Darkrai, and I got to say, it was nice. Ash and Co. barely escaped their doom (again), and I have gotten an urge to have a Darkrai on my Diamond. I won't reveal any spoilers for those who want to see it.

It's finally here! Yes. Brawl has been released for the U.S.!! But I got my Senior Project to finish up so i probobly won't be playing this week. I am going to get it eventually though. Well fellow Brawlers, all I can say at this point is Happy Brawling!

Well, the senior project is nearly over, but I also have to go to a competition down in Atlanta RIGHT AFTER. That said, the earliest time I would be getting Brawl would be Sunday March 16. I've waited for this game for months. I can wait a few more days...

I finally got it!! I got it on Friday and failed to check in because I got SOOO much enjoyment out of it! As I expected, I am incredible with Lucario, and I still rule with Fox and Link. The Landmaster is very satisfying to use, but it requires a bit of careful aiming to use efectivelly. Triforce Slash mearly causes carnage to any enemy in the right place at the right time, delivering an almost instant KO. And I found that Aura Storm pretty much requires the enemy as well as Lucario himself to have sufficient damage on them for Aura Storm to deliver a KO.

The Subspace Emissary was fun and long, and co-op with my bro was a blast as well, but I found the battles to be a bit aggravating and monotonous. Especially Giant Diddy, who is outrageously overpowwered!! Overall, however, it is still fun to go through again and again. I must thank Nintendo for putting an amazing Adventure Mode in the third installment of Super Smash Bros.!

Wi-fi battling is a bit of a dissapointment, however. While it is nice to have fights against Brawlers across the planet, the gameplay is just too laggy. If the game is not freezing every five seconds, the controls take a split second to respond. And in the Smash Universe, a split second of laggy conbtrols is VERY bad. Even though I do win most of the Wifi battles im in, I don't usually take part in them.

That being said, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is still everything I expected. It is goingf to keep me and my family brawling for years. Not months, years. Well I'm geting back to the game now.

Happy Brawling everyone!!
