I first played Super Smash Bros. in 2002 at a friend's house. At the time I was unaware of Melee's existance, probably due to the fact that I just learned about the first one.

Since I just started, you would expect I was really bad. The first person I ever played as was Pikachu, probably because I was obsessed with Pokemon (I still like it, but not as much). After a while, I decided to start using Kirby. Then I learned there were 4 secret characters, but I only knew about Jigglypuff and Luigi. Then that ended my playing of Super Smash Bros. 64.

Then about 2 years later, I go to another friends house and find out about Melee. The first person I played as was Ness. I don't know why I picked Ness, but it was probably because at lunch I would always imitate him, going "PK FIRE" and "PK THUNDER". The first stage I ever played on was Temple.

Then another friend of mine got Melee, and I learned about all of the secret characters. Out of the 11, the ones I didn't know were in the game were Dr. Mario, Mewtwo, Young Link, Marth, Roy, Ganondorf, Falco, and Mr. Game & Watch. At this time, I was TERRIBLE at Melee.

But then I got a Gamecube, and the second game I bought was Melee. Now I've gotten better at it.

Like just about the entire population of the world, I anticipated the release of Brawl, and on March 10th, one day after its release, I got it, and I cleared it within a week. To show how much skill I have, within that time, Sonic became my best character.

One of my best friends is also me greatest rivals in Super Smash Bros. We've been competing since I got Melee. He used Dr. Mario and Young Link in Melee, and in Brawl he uses Toon Link, Wolf, and Mr. Game & Watch. I am pretty close to him, and have beaten him a couple of times before, but he has some serious skill in Super Smash Bros. But now I have two friends that are even superior to him. One mains Meta Knight, and the other dominates with Yoshi. I still have yet to beat either of them.

That's basically all that there is about me.

• I am of Filipino, Scottish and Irish decent.
• I am fifteen years old, but don't think I don't know as much as other people.
• In each Super Smash Bros. game, there is at least one character that I didn't know who they were when I first got the game. In the original, I didn't know who Fox, Link, Samus, Captain Falcon, and Ness were, although I recognized Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I had a friend that owned it). In Melee, I didn't know who The Ice Climbers, Sheik, Dr. Mario, Falco, Ganondorf, Marth, Mr. Game & Watch, Roy, and Young Link were (though, just like Link, I recognized Young Link from Ocarina of Time). In Brawl, I didn't know who Zero Suit Samus, Lucas, and Ike were. However, I did know which series they were from upon seeing them; I knew Zero Suit Samus was from Metroid because of her name, I knew Lucas was from EarthBound because he looks similar to Ness, and I knew Ike was from Fire Emblem because I saw his Smash Bros. DOJO!! page.
• I own the best-selling game for the GameCube, Wii, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS.
  • In addition, I own the second-best selling games for the Gamecube, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation 2.
• I have played every single game in the Super Smash Bros. series.
• I currently own every main series Pokémon game except for Red, Gold, FireRed, and Pearl.
  • I have at one point owned each main series game except for Pearl.
• You can also find me on deviantART, the Pojo Forums, the Smash World Forum, Bulbapedia and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia. For each I go by RikotheFoxKid or RikoTheFoxKid.
  • I also contribute to Wikipedia, Sonic News Network, Kingdom Hearts Wiki, Avatar Wikia, and Spongebob Wiki (although seldom with the latter two), but I have yet to make a Userpage on any of them (for Wikipedia, I lack an account).
• Although it's one of my favorite video game franchises, I did not own a Sonic the Hedgehog game until Christmas Eve '08, where I got Sonic Unleashed.
  • On Christmas Day of the same year, I got Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.
  • Likewise, I did not own a Mario game until January '06, when I got Super Mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS.
• The video game series I have played the longest is Crash Bandicoot.
  • I own every single Crash game except for Tag Team Racing and Crash, Boom, Bang!
  • I am insanely loyal to the series and am angered when someone insults it.
  • I think Crash should be in Super Smash Bros. 4.
  • When a member of Smashboards said that Crash should be in SSB4, another replied saying he only deserved a shot in the head. That comment offended me.
  • My first video game was Crash Bandicoot 2.
• I am trying to make a video game.
• I RickRoll myself just to listen to the song. But since I see it coming, it's not really RickRolling.
• I have apiphobia (abnormal fear of bees and wasps). The reason for this is because when I was little, no one told me the only sting you when provoked. Even though I know better now, they still scare me.
  • Despite my extreme fear of them (or perhaps BECAUSE of my extreme fear of them), I have never been stung.

[edit] Choice of Characters

With a few exceptions, I'm good with just about any character. So, like Azen Zagenite, you could call me a Master of Diversity.

I also tend to lean towards characters in the Middle to Bottom Tier. I usually am incredibly skilled with them, so you could also call me the King of Low Tier.

I'm mainly good with any character that uses a sword; the only character that was an exception to this for a long time was Meta Knight, until I trained with him; now he's one of my best.

I also prefer fast characters. However, I am still very good with slow characters.

If I had to pick four characters that I can definitely say I enjoy playing as, I would say Roy, Mewtwo, Captain Falcon (Brawl), and Sonic. The two driving forces that keep me playing as Roy are my friend and Neo. Both of them have so much Roy skill that it shows me that I can play as him too. The driving force that keeps me playing Mewtwo is obviously Taj. That guy is a demon with Mewtwo. And what keeps me playing as Sonic and C. Falcon? That would be the fact that I am really good with them, and that I want to show people that tiers are NOT everything!

• My best character in the original Super Smash Bros. is apparently Samus, although I suspect that it's really Ness.
• My best character in Melee definitely stands out as Roy.
• My best character in Brawl for a long time was Marth, but it is now Lucario.

This is a training challenge that I made up. I use it to train as some characters (mainly Ike and Sonic). Tell me how far you get to with this and with which character. Here's what you have to do:

1: 3 Stock, no time limit.
2: Final Destination
3: No items
4: You can use any character.
5: CPU Level 9
6: Fight every character bottom up in order of the OFFICIAL tier list (starting with Captain Falcon and ending with Meta Knight).
7: Each time you lose, start over on that character. If you win, move on to the next character (i.e. if you beat Captain Falcon, move on to Link)
8: Continue until you defeat Meta Knight.

Okay, I'll be honest, until I found this Wiki I had not a clue that tiers existed! For that long I believed Jigglypuff was the best (REST IS BEAST!!!).

I like the newest update of the Melee List, which I think is a lot more accurate (though I'm still upset about the placings of Roy and Young Link). But I'm not one of those people who throws a fit about it. So if people think certain characters are better, I won't mind, because if you haven't noticed, my Melee characters are all considered the worst (except for Fox), and my second favorite even holds the honor of holding bottom place!

I generally accept the Brawl Tier List much more than the Melee Tier List. I accept the fact that there are some characters that are far superior to others and that it's smart to use high-tier characters. But I'd like to say that I'll laugh in everyone's face when I kick the crap out of you with Captain Falcon! XD

I still follow the tier list, but I don't let it dominate my character choice. My best character, Marth, is near the top, but my second best, Sonic, is near the bottom. The tiers generally don't phase me.
