From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki

I'm Thanos6. Says it all, really.

I think any tournament that insists on banning stages and items miss the entire point of a Smash Bros. game and suck the fun right out of it. If I ever host my own tourney, everything's legal, baby.

Alas and alack, the Fun Destroyers lurk even here.

My favorite area is the All-Star Teleporter from Melee. Yes, really. I love the music, the stage design, the generally soft, peaceful feeling.

[edit] Tournament limiters are wimps

Yes, really. Any group of gamers who, when confronted with the choice of A) altering their playing style to suit conditions, or B) ignore large sections of the game, choose B), then yes, they are wimps. Imagine if, say, professional baseball teams decided certain stadiums were "unfair" and decided not to play there. They'd be laughed out of the league.

Likewise for the players who turn off items. If they can't deal with chaos and unpredictably, then screw them; that's part of the game that's built in.

[edit] Notability

Here, like at all Wikis, I'm a massive opponent of the notability requirement. Somehow it escapes many people's minds that an encyclopedia is supposed to be objective, and a notability rule is by its very nature subjective. Unfortunately, this poison has spread far and wide across the internet. While I'll obey whatever version of the rule a particular Wiki has, I'll also argue night and day for it to be consigned to the junkheap where it belongs. Barring that, I need to start my own Wikis that has no such rule, for everything is notable...
