[edit] Re:Favicon
I'm afraid I can't use that as the favicon. It must be located at Image:Favicon.ico. If you upload it there, we can use it. You must have a program that allows you to save it as a .ico file. If you would do that, it would be greatly appreciated. You may need sysop powers to do that (if you do, let me know). But nice image! Thank you. Dtm142 00:07, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- The deed has been done. Congratulations. Let me know how the uploading goes. Dtm142 17:36, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nice work
Hiya Bonko24, just wanted to say thanks for giving this wiki so much love, and keep up the good work. With the new game coming out in Feb this will be a much needed resource for the ssb community. I am going to put this wiki in the spotlight soon to promote it more to wikia community. angies

[edit] Nintendo Launch Center
That's awesome.. How did you get their support? It would be great if you could introduce me to the person at Nintendo you are working with.. There are a few other things we can to do support Nintendo angies
(talk) 01:38, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- aah, ok. the promo with w:c:Nintendopedia not Nintendo themselves? a couple other ideas
- http://mariowiki.com is really strong. Maybe they can link to the launch center
- Add/Suggest this wiki as an external link on the Wikipedia article wikipedia:Super_smash_bros and wikipedia:Super_Smash_Bros._(series)..
Also, have you thought about what type of content players will be most searching for when the game launches (walkthroughs, Tricks, Tips, etc.. might be a good idea to start those pages now so they get show up when people search for them in Google. Let me know if you need any help

[edit] Protection
May I ask if you can please remove cascading from the semi-protection of the Main Page, semi-protection for persistent vandalism is OK, but if cascading is turned on, all pages included are editable only by sysops, not just registered users. Thanks, cheers :) --Charitwo 19:09, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks a lot. :) --Charitwo 19:37, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your picture
Can I take the image of Yoshi with Dojo stickers or something and rename it? I think that the title "Yoshi finds the tickets" would be a better name.{{SUBST:User:Pikdude/sig}} 02:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] My email
Bonko24, did you get my email? if not please send me an email - angie at wikia.com angies

[edit] Super Smash Bros. Wiki on Gamespot
Wikia has partnered with Gamespot to let them link to our some of Wikia's game wikis. This is a great way to promote our wikis to Gamespot's readers and recruit new readers and editors. We launched four of them in November (Halo, Call of Duty, Mass Effect, and Tabula Rasa) and we are planning to add a bunch more in February, including Super Smash Bros. Wiki. They are interested in adding a Super Smash Bros. Wiki tab to their Gamespot Super Smash Bros. gamepage. This tab would look identical to the Halopedia Tab. The content (Featured articles, Recent Changes, Popular Articles) is generated via a content feed that Wikia sets up.
For this to work for Super Smash Bros. Wiki, I would need your help setting up a Featured Content templates similar to how Mass Effect does it. This allows the Wikia feed to send Gamespot featured content snippets and images. There are instructions for how to do this on w:c:inside:Featured Article System. Please let me know if you can help out getting this set up? Kirkburn (talk) 05:45, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hey Bonko. Since you're the very capable captain of this ship, and since Wikia will be starting the featured article feed to GameSpot for SSB next month, I wanted to emphasize the need for more featured articles. I made the first one (Template:FA/1) by using the existing featured article on the main page. Simply copy what I did to make more featured article templates (preferably about Brawl obviously), then add them to the list here for indexing purposes. You'll want to have at least 5 to start with (by the end of this month) and rotate them out every week or so, by simply changing the code under the Featured Article section on main page from {{FA/1}} to {{FA/2}} and so on. Having this deal with GameSpot will definitely help bring lots of new people to the SSB wiki. As always, if you need any help, just leave a message on my talk page. JoePlay (talk) 20:58, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Thank You
I made the sticker page without knowing that there was a page called "Sticker" that already existed. I'm just glad to see that at least one part qwwas kept (the intro). If I can, I'll add more names to the confirmed list of stickers. Justin Crossing
[edit] Copyright
Hello Bonko24. Unfortunately, I had to delete some articles you added because they had been directly copied from a non-free source (smashwiki). Only content that is released under the GFDL (like Wikipedia) can be copied here. Otherwise, you need to create original content that will not be regarded as plagiarism. Please leave me a message on my talk page if you need any more information on Wikia's copyrights policy. I hope you stick around and add more content that you have created yourself. Angela

[edit] Thanks for the encouragement
I really appreciate it! I'll do my best to continue making this wiki the best possible.

[edit] Protect List of characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl also
I already reverted the edits of vandals 2 times today, I think you should protect it. Shroobario
[edit] New forum headers
Hey I got your message. I'll pass on the issue of the forum header template not appearing by default, but just to let you know, I manually added it to each existing thread. So just keep in mind that for future new threads in Brawl Talk, you may have to manually add the header template, at least until it gets fixed, if it does. JoePlay (talk) 21:16, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Thanks for completing the FianlSmash template for me. I just added it to the pages. Shroobario
[edit] RE: SSBB mini wiki
Thanks for the heads up. It seems like ShadowUltra has done nearly all the editing, so you did the right thing to message him about merging the mini wiki. Let me know what his response is. JoePlay (talk) 23:12, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RE: SSB wiki on Gamespot
Yes, it's supposed to go live this Wednesday, Feb 13th. There will be a wiki tab on their SSBB page. See the Halo page for an example. JoePlay (talk) 02:06, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] 600 articles
By what I know the wiki reached 600 articles when I created PK Freeze, Shroobario
[edit] A couple of topics to discuss
I wanted to talk to you about a couple different things - (1) adding another admin or two to help out once Brawl releases, and (2) help me come up with some questions for a "scavenger hunt" thing that Wikia will be doing for the SSB wiki. Since this will require several messages back and forth, I'd rather do it by email if that's cool with you. My address is joetabascoman AT gmail.com. The Brawl release is gonna be HUGE, as I'm sure you already know, especially since this wiki will be accessible thru GameSpot, and I want to help you make it a great event here at the SSB wiki. If email is ok with you, just send me an email saying 'hey this is Bonko' or leave a message on my talk page saying you'd rather handle it via talk pages. Or maybe we could even talk over Skype, AIM, or ICQ if you want. Just let me know. JoePlay (talk) 22:37, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Possible SmashWiki merge
Hey Bonko24, I got big news for you. SmashWiki, the other SSB wiki, may be merging with this wiki soon, possibly by next Tuesday. So, since this will be a fairly large merge, it is in our best interest that we plan out the merge in case it does happen so that it happens smoothly. We have to discuss the best way to organize, like what content comes to this wiki, what content gets deleted, etc. Feel free to discuss the merge on talk page.--Richard 21:10, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Launch Center
Hey Bonko,
Yeah, I got a better way to align it with templates and will incorporate it better for display, I'll get to work on it. --Charitwo 00:17, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Merging
Hi Bonko,
I noticed you starting to merge articles. Can you please ensure you merge the histories also, so previous editors keep credit for their contributions? What you do is this:
- Delete the article.
- Move the SmashWiki:Merge/Article to the deleted article's place.
- Goto Special:Undelete and restore the revisions from the article you deleted.
- Merge the info as you're doing now.
This way our contributors maintain credit for their work. I will also be working on this tonight and through the weekend.
Regards,
--Charitwo 16:50, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hi there
I am that user from Stickers talk page who was talking about plagerising. Well now that SmashWiki and SSB Wikia has been merged, I guess I'll say that I apologize for putting down SmashWiki just because of the plagerising. And sorry about my attitude. Magiciandude 14:02, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hi!
Question: Would you possible promote User:Erik the Appreciator to the admin buttons? He's got a lot of support at SmashWiki:Requests for adminship. Thanks either way. =) --Sky (t · c · w) 01:32, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Problem
For some reason, it says that i've got new messages althrough it hasn't been done a change since 10 days back and evene after checking it, it haunts me. Can you fix it? King M (talk•contribs•M&page= logs) March 14th 2008. 22:43 (GMT +01)
[edit] Desysop
Only staff can demote, you'd probably have to ask Angie or one of the com team to do it. But I'm sorry to see you go, this leaves us with only two active crats. --Charitwo 00:41, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
