[edit] Your recent Articles
While I appreciate your contributions, stop making pages with nicknames for techniques that you "invented." The whole "circle of pain" thing is quite clearly a nickname that you came up with for an attack that hits all sides. We do not keep pages that are of nicknames for normal things in the game. Also, your page on pikmin canceling is entirely trivial as it is not at all unique to Olimar. It is well enough known that some projectiles can counter each other. We do not need a page devoted to how Olimar's pikmin can counter certain projectile. Maybe a line on Olimar's page, but not an entirely new article. Clarinet Hawk (talk) 19:16, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- One, my biggest problem with the articles is that they are personal nicknames. Two, the idea of a circle of pain is already covered in terms of the simple range of a character. We don't need a separate page or term for it. Third, I've seen (and used) other projectiles to cancel out projectiles. Just becasue Olimar might be more effective than Samus, Falco, Wolf, Link, Toon Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Snake, Mario, Luigi, Mr. Game & Watch, etc. does not mean that he gets his own page. Finally, don't remove deletion tags. If you have a problem with something being marked for deletion, put it on the talk page of that article. If a sysop agrees with you s/he will remove the tag. - Yeah. Don't make trivial articles. A mention on the article about the attack/character maybe, but a whole article is unnecessary. If you're not sure if something is worth mentioning or not, please discuss on a related article's talk page. FyreNWater - (Talk • Contributions ) 20:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately the concept of "trivial" is opinionary at best. Circle of pain is effectively the type of thing as Wall of Pain]], which apparently isn't trivial, and Pikmin blocking is a whole defensive technique. I think the problem is that Circle of pain isn't being interpreted as a concept, much the same as Wall of PainTbonePiper (talk) 20:43, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
