Wooper

From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki

#194

Wooper (ウパー, Upā, Upaa in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

[edit] Creature description

Wooper is a small blue bipedal water creature without arms and with axolotl-like whiskers. As stated in the Pokédex, it usually lives in cold water, and sleeps by half-burying itself into the mud at the bottom of its watery home. When the temperature cools in the evening, it emerges from the water to seek food along the shore. While walking along on the ground, it coats its body with a slimy, poisonous film that keeps its skin from dehydrating. This film causes a shooting pain if it is touched barehanded.

[edit] In Super Smash Bros. Melee

Wooper has made only one minor appearance.

[edit] As a stage element

A giant balloon of Wooper (in actuality the 3D model of Wooper used in Pokémon Stadium 2 for Nintendo 64) is one of the many floating and bending "platforms" that comprise the Poké Floats stage.
