Xanthius, also known as "Xan" on the competitive gaming site Wifi Wars, is a member of the recently revived crew Famous Last Words. He is an American smasher who lives in Maryland, and his crew is known for organizing the DC Super Smash tournaments. Xanthius joined the crew just before DCSS-3.

Xanthius did not get a copy of SSBM until almost two years after the game was released. He began playing with his younger brother, who quickly lost interest with the game. Xanthius then began to play semi-regularly with his friends, Aaron and Jeremy Rice, known to Maryland smashers as B-Run and Jump20X6 respectively. The two brothers began to teach Xanthius about the finer points of smash, and eventually invited him to join their crew, Famous Last Words.
Xanthius, much like the rest of his crew, was never a serious contender in tournament play. He typically finished near the bottom in any event he attended. Being a late-comer to the Smash scene, he does not have any truly significant tournament matches. Since the initial disbanding of FLW, Xanthius has focused most of his gaming attention to Quake 4 using the alias "blud". He plans to become competitive in the upcoming Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and has imported a Japanese Wii and copy of the game to get an early edge over other competitors.

- After being soundly defeated by Azen in the first round of DCSS-3, Xanthius challenged Azen to a friendly match of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Azen has yet to take him up on the challenge.
